Kusum Basavaraju

Kusum is an Identity and Leadership Coach for ambitious working mothers who are done white-knuckling their way through a life they worked too hard to just survive.

She moved from India to the US alone, having never flown before, slept on university floors between shifts, and built a six-figure Wall Street career with no network and no safety net. She knows what it costs to out-achieve yourself, and she knows how to stop.

Today she is the founder of The Sovereign Leader, a neuroscience-backed coaching program that helps high-achieving moms break the patterns keeping them stuck, so they can get the promotion without paying for it with their kids' childhoods or the version of themselves they actually like.

Off the clock, Kusum believes spontaneous kitchen dance parties are a legitimate wellness strategy. She can hold mysticism and leadership strategy in the same breath and mean both.
